Welcome to my fundraising page for the 11th annual Will Bike 4 Food! This is my 6th year participating in this fun and active cycling event that helps raise funds and awareness for The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts. Every $1 that the Food Bank raises will provide 4 meals for a neighbor, a friend, a family member or even one of us in need.
Generosity grows out of a sense of gratitude for what we have been given. Yes, we work hard to accumulate what we have, but we were given the drive, the talent, the health, the ability, to achieve success.
Giving is not an obligation, a duty, or a burden; its a way to make real our connections to each other. There are many opportunities to express our gratitude for what we have. I am offering one to you. All I ask is that you reflect upon and pray about the blessings you have received and be as generous as you feel inspired to be. I won't ask you to give till it hurts. Instead, I'd like you to give till it feels good.
Contributions of any size to my efforts are greatly appreciated, and are tax deductible.
"Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."
2 Corinthians 9:7
PS On September 5th, the anonymous donor went above the 25 cents per dollar that they pledged. Now I will make a pledge to donate $1 for every mile that I have ridden or will ride from the beginning of my training season up to and including the day of the ride. Regretfully, my training has been somewhat lacking because of a variety of health issues, but I do plan on riding the 25 mile course twice, to add up to 50 miles. Please be as generous as you can, and keep me and all of the other riders and volunteers in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you!

Since 1982, The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts has been feeding our neighbors in need and leading the community to end hunger. We distribute food to our member agencies in Berkshire, Franklin, Hampden and Hampshire counties. These independent pantries, meal sites and shelters are on the front lines of emergency food assistance in our region, playing a crucial role helping individuals, families, seniors and children. Every $1 donated to The Food Bank can purchase 4 meals for a family who needs them most.
