I'm back at it - riding to raise money on behalf of McLean Hospital to build awareness, erase the stigma of and continue to find ways to support those battling mental illness.
This year seems especially hard with a pandemic that won’t quit – surfacing even more anxiety, depression and loneliness. Add to that a lack of critically needed resources that has left many to navigate mental health challenges on their own. I'm doing this for the people in my life who struggle - and for so many others who need help.
This is my fourth ride - teaming again with an amazing group of women. Together we'll push ourselves to ride 50 miles. I'll finish because I believe in the cause. I'd love your support. No donation is too small - and every donation will push me harder to cross the finish line.
Thanks so much!
The Ride for Mental Health 2022
The Ride for Mental Health is one of the first rides in the country to benefit mental health. The proceeds raised will be donated to McLean Hospital, a Harvard Medical School affiliate, for the education, research, and treatment of mental illness including anxiety, borderline personality disorder, depression, eating disorders and substance abuse. Our mission is to raise funds for McLean so that we can help accelerate the progress being made to help others who suffer from mental illness.
We also hope to end the stigma surrounding mental illness through education and awareness. The promotion of this ride is a start. Many if not most of us are touched by close friends and relatives who have suffered from one type or another of mental illness.
