I am so excited to be participating in the 2nd Annual Green Beret with a Mission Challenge. Also, I will be paddling a 10k as safety for the swimmers participating in the S.W.A.M. event the following day! Two strenuous workouts to support a great cause. As part of these events, I am raising money for Veterans and I will also be participating in these events in memory of a fallen soldier from NH - this year it is in memory of US Army Spc Toby R. Olsen KIA 1/20/2007 in Iraq and Army Spc Nicholas P. Bernier KIA 6/25/11 in Afghanistan. Please help me toward my fundraising. Any amount will make a difference in the lives of Veterans and their families. The money that is raised will go to worthy Veteran service organizations both locally and nationally. Go to www.swam.org to learn more about the organizations that Swim With A Mission supports. Since 2017 Swim With A Mission has donated over $7 million to Veteran service and support organizations.
Green Beret With A Mission Challenge
Our 2nd Annual Green Beret With A Mission Challenge to honor our Veterans will take place on Friday, July 15, 2021. This event is the ultimate physical, mental, and teamwork challenge! Each team will negotiate a course with multiple stations where they will be required to complete Special Forces mission tasks that will challenge them physically and mentally. The top three scoring teams in both the morning and afternoon sessions will receive awards and prizes. For each challenge/station, each participant will be able to choose between 2 levels to complete the challenge: Operator or Recruit. Both will do the same challenge but operator level will be more physically challenging. Also, an MVP of each team will be awarded a special award as will the oldest and youngest competitors. After completing the course, everyone is invited to enjoy a BBQ meal and mingle with Army Green Berets (and hear some “Special Forces stories” if so inclined!). This is a truly unique and fun opportunity for endurance, crossfit, and adventure athletes! Awards will be given to the top fundraising individuals.
This event is a cooperative effort between Swim With A Mission, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization supporting Veterans services and the Patriot Resilient Leader Institute, also a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, which runs outdoor therapeutic retreats for military personnel, veterans and First Responders.
