On December 8, I'm running in the 10th Annual Hot Chocolate Run. This event raises funds for Safe Passage, the organization addressing domestic violence in Hampshire County. Safe passage is not just an organization but a truly dedicated organization that seeks to help survivors of domestic violence and their families take back their lives.
Before I run, I want to try asking my friends, relatives, and acquaintances to help me raise money and consciousness for Safe Passage, but most importantly for survivors.
I am running to end men's violence against women.
I am running to end intimate partner violence.
I am running for my friends, my alma mater (Occidental College), and for myself.
Please donate even a dollar to show your support to end sexual violence/domestic violence.
Here are some ways Safe Passage will put your gift to work:
$25: Resources, support and hope for a woman calling the 24-hour hotline
$75: Safe transportation for a family traveling to Safe Passage’s emergency shelter
$100: A drop-in support group session for survivors of domestic violence
$140: Education for parents on talking with their kids about domestic violence
$500: Healing counseling for a child who has witnessed violence
All contributions are tax-deductible, and you’ll receive an emailed receipt immediately after you donate.
You can make a difference in the lives of survivors by supporting organizations like Safe Passage.
Thank you for reading my page and for your support!
