UPDATE 11/19: Thank you for helping me reach the original fundraising goal of $200. So since it's for a good cause, I have raised the goal to $500 to raise in two and a half weeks.
Thanks for visiting my Hot Chocolate Run fundraising page! On December 8, I'm running in the 10th Annual Hot Chocolate Run for the 10th time. The first time I ran the Hot Chocolate Run was when I was three years old and since then I have participated every year and chosen the color of the mug several times. If you've never run or walked you're missing out on a lot
of fun and some REALLY good hot chocolate made by the Northampton
Brewing Company.
But I don't just do it for the fun and hot chocolate. I also feel the importance of what the Safe Passage organization does to help people is very strong to me.
Even if you didn't get a chance to register for the Hot Chocolate Run you can still donate and sponsor me and other participants of the event for an amazing cause.
This great event raises funds for Safe Passage, the organization addressing domestic violence in Hampshire County. Will you join me in supporting this terrific organization?
Every day, Safe Passage helps women and children take steps towards a brighter and safer future. Some of these steps are easier, and some are harder. Every step is important.
Before I run, I’ve decided to Step Up for Safe Passage, and I’m asking you to join me. Please make a donation to support Safe Passage’s important work. Safe Passage relies on people like you and me to bring hope, safety, and justice to women and families.
Here are some ways Safe Passage will put your gift to work:
$25: Resources, support and hope for a woman calling the 24-hour hotline
$75: Safe transportation for a family traveling to Safe Passage’s emergency shelter
$100: A drop-in support group session for survivors of domestic violence
$140: Education for parents on talking with their kids about domestic violence
$500: Healing counseling for a child who has witnessed violence
All contributions are tax-deductible, and you’ll receive an emailed receipt immediately after you donate.
You can make a difference for families affected by domestic violence. I hope you’ll join me!
Thank you so much for your support! If you want to learn more about the event, visit http://hotchocolaterun.com.
