Let’s Go0o0o0o0o0o0! We are ready to RAISE. THE. ROOF!
I’ve been helping out behind the scenes of Let’s Dance since it first started. It’s an event that leaves all involved with high spirits and wide smiles. I am beyond excited to be a part of the magic this time around as a dancer (something I’ve not-so-secretly-wanted to do for YEARS)!
What’s more, I get to work with a team that has big time energy!
My partner, Gracie, not only EXUDES SWAG, but is definitely ready to BRING IT! On several instances already she’s proclaimed how excited she is and how she can’t wait. I’m very lucky to be paired with a partner that not only brings such pizzazz, but positivity. We’re only two practices in and she’s already told me, “Don’t be nervous!”
The two of us are in great hands. Our wonderful instructor, Danielle, has been guiding us through the steps with enthusiasm and patience! I think it’s pretty fair to say we have a dream team!
__________
We ask that you please consider donating to our team! If you can’t financially contribute, we also would really appreciate you sharing our team page on social media. Of course, thumbs up and positive vibes are always welcomed too! In any capacity, we are grateful for your support in making….*pauses for dramatic effect* …a night to remember possible!
Let's Dance!
Let’s Dance! is much like “Dancing with the Stars,” only in this case the stars are people served by Pathlight, a Springfield-based organization that serves more than 1000 children, teens and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout western Massachusetts.
Pathlight stars are paired with someone from the community and together they rehearse with a volunteer dance instructor to learn a dance routine they will perform the night of the event: November 11, 2023
In the months leading up to the event, as well during the show on the night of, we all can vote for our favorite couple or couples.
$10 per vote. Vote early, vote often -- stuff that ballot box!
Your generosity provides enrichment activities to all served by Pathlight. From theater classes, chorus or participating on a bowling team, to paddling on the Connecticut River, taking a trip to Fenway to watch a Red Sox game, or membership at a local YMCA, these activities allow people with intellectual disabilities to experience the fullness of life.
Pathlight is the premier provider of exceptional services to people with disabilities and their families in Western Massachusetts. In partnership with the people we serve, we design high quality, innovative, and person-centered supports.
Pathlight firmly believes that people with developmental disabilities should be welcomed, contributing members of their communities. We pursue this commitment through an innovative and energetic approach, reflective of the pioneering spirit that brought us together.
