Hi there! Thanks so much for taking some time to visit my Hot Chocolate Run fundraising page! On December 8th, I'm walking in the 10th Annual Hot Chocolate Run. This great event raises funds for Safe Passage, the organization addressing domestic violence in Hampshire County.
You might be wondering why am I walking? First and foremost: To give back. To pay it forward. To help someone who really needs it. I have been so fortunate over the years to be blessed with love, encouragement, hope, family and friends, a loving husband and canine children who have shown me only unconditional love. But not everyone is so fortunate. So participating in this walk and supporting this cause is my small way of paying it forward. Not to mention it is great exercise and I get to spend a fun filled morning with friends and family doing something that will make a difference in someone's life. Will you join me in supporting this terrific organization?
Every day, Safe Passage helps women and children take steps towards a brighter and safer future. Some of these steps are easier, and some are harder. Every step is important.
Before I walk, I’ve decided to Step Up for Safe Passage, and I’m asking you to join me. Please make a donation to support Safe Passage’s important work. Safe Passage relies on people like you and me to bring hope, safety, and justice to women and families.
Here are some ways Safe Passage will put your gift to work:
$25: Resources, support and hope for a woman calling the 24-hour hotline
$75: Safe transportation for a family traveling to Safe Passage’s emergency shelter
$80: A drop-in support group session for survivors of domestic violence
$140: Education for parents on talking with their kids about domestic violence
$500: Healing counseling for a child who has witnessed violence
Every little bit helps, so whatever you can donate makes a difference.
All contributions are tax-deductible, and you’ll receive an emailed receipt immediately after you donate.
Aristotle said: "Hope is a waking dream." Help me extend hope to those whose hope has been tarnished. Together we can help keep families affected by domestic violence safe and restore their hope - their waking dream.
