Last year cancer took my very good friend, Jaimee. Her friendship was a gift that feels more valuable every day, despite her no longer being here.
On June 15th, I will be pedaling 25 miles through the Pioneer Valley in Jaimee's memory to raise money for Bikes Fight Cancer (bikesfightcancer.org). Cancer Connection (cancer-connection.org), an organization that helped Jaimee through many difficult challenges, is one beneficiary of this event.

One hundred percent of all rider-raised funds will support valuable cancer care services to patients, families and caregivers. We will also help fund hospitals focused on advancing cancer research.
If you know someone battling cancer or lost someone to cancer, feel free to comment with a tribute and I will keep them in mind during my ride.

Bikes Fight Cancer Charity Ride, Powered by Valley Solar is an exciting FUNdraising bike ride in Western Mass, where every pedal contributes to funding organizations providing cancer care and services. Choose your ride with 25-mile and 50-mile routes traversing the picturesque Pioneer Valley and along the Connecticut River. The 50-mile ride promises an extra thrill with rewarding views for riders. After the ride, enjoy post-event activities like a kids trail ride, awesome food trucks, and, of course, enjoy Tree House's exceptional beer. This is an unmissable event!

Bikes Fight Cancer Inc. is a Western Massachusetts 501(c)(3) that uses its love of bikes to lessen the burden of a cancer diagnosis for patients, families, and caregivers. Through athletic events like the Bikes Fight Cancer Charity Ride and the Bikes Fight Cancer PMC Team, we aim to empower a community to participate, donate, and fundraise in the fight against cancer.
