I am proud to be riding on Team WE CAN in the Second Summer Cycle.
WE CAN's (Women’s Empowerment through Cape Area Networking) mission to empower and support women to build pathways to stability and self-sufficiency. For more than 20 years, WE CAN has supported women on Cape Cod who are navigating life transitions including job loss and career development; divorce or loss of a spouse, legal issues; debt and financial stability; and other personal growth opportunities.
WE CAN serves more than 2,400 women each year across Cape Cod with free and confidential legal services, employment and business support, financial empowerment, mentoring, and personal development programs. WE CAN's work is made possible through the commitment and dedication of 300 active volunteers including volunteer attorneys, employment specialists, and financial professionals. More than 600 individual donors, businesses, and private foundations generously support the organization through annual gifts, monthly sustaining support, grants and event sponsorship.

Cape Cod's Second Summer Cycle
A Charity Ride Benefitting 19 Cape Cod Non-Profit Organizations
The Second Summer Cycle is the perfect event for riders of all levels, offering a picturesque journey through 11 historic Cape Cod towns and a strong commitment to rider safety. Three distances are being offered, 33, 69, and 100 miles with the final stop being a celebration at Motta Field in beautiful Provincetown. Dance to the music of Sarah Swain and the Oh Boys, use your $30 worth of vouchers provided as part of your registration to purchase food from 4 different food trucks, to include cold beverages provided by Barnstable Brewing Company, with Second Summer Cycle cans as memorabilia!
Nineteen Cape Cod non-profit organizations will benefit from the monies generated by the riders, each of whom is asked to raise at least $250 for their non-profit of choice, or to be disseminated across all 19 charities, in addition to the registration fee.
Ample hydration and nutrition stops will be strategically positioned along the course, along with medical and physical therapy stations equipped with tents and tables to ensure participants' comfort and well-being.

Hosted by: Second Summer Cycle, LLC, a 501c3, non-profit organization.
Beneficiaries: All money raised by the riders will be paid directly to the beneficiaries. Riders are expected to raise at least $250.00 each, and each beneficiary team is expected to raise $5,000.00.
Pricing:
- Century (100 miles): $125.00
- Metric Century Plus (69 miles): $95.00
- 33 Mile Ride: $80.00
Return to the starts: Bus transportation will be provided back to the starts along with trucks for your bikes. If you wish, you may have someone meet you at the finish line, where they may purchase a $30 packet of food truck vouchers to be used at Motta Field. Bus transportation back to the starts costs $20.00 per person, which includes both bus and bike transportation. The bikes will be in a separate vehicle.
Safety: We will have marshals at every turn to help guide riders, and motorcyclists will be patrolling the entire course.
Support services: Bike shops will be represented along the course to help with any technical issues. There will also be SAG vehicles to help riders who need support or a pickup along the course.

We are excited to be a beneficiary of this new exciting charity ride that covers 10 of the 15 towns on Cape Cod during the most beautiful time of the year - what the locals call the Second Summer.
