I am honored to be riding Second Summer Cycle this year to help raise funds for Sharing Kindness. Sharing Kindness has been there for us since day one of losing our son Noah to suicide, after a long battle with mental illness.
Sharing Kindness has provided my husband and I with the resources and support to navigate the loss of our child. I truly do not know what we would have done without the guidance from founders Kim and Davis Walters as well our monthly grief group that Sharing Kindness provides for suicide loss survivors.
Sharing Kindness' Mission:
Sharing Kindness, seeded from the shared devastation of suicide and grief, tends a thriving community through empathy, education and courageous conversation.
Both our community and the world as a whole are still learning how to support grievers and those who have been affected by suicide. Our goal as a nonprofit is to inspire courageous conversation – dialogue addressing these often taboo subjects – by providing education and programs for grievers and their support networks. Many who are affected by grief and suicide also struggle with mental health; we want to eliminate the stigma around getting help, so that those who need it can reach out more confidently.

Cape Cod's Second Summer Cycle
A Charity Ride Benefitting 19 Cape Cod Non-Profit Organizations
The Second Summer Cycle is the perfect event for riders of all levels, offering a picturesque journey through 11 historic Cape Cod towns and a strong commitment to rider safety. Three distances are being offered, 33, 69, and 100 miles with the final stop being a celebration at Motta Field in beautiful Provincetown. Dance to the music of Sarah Swain and the Oh Boys, use your $30 worth of vouchers provided as part of your registration to purchase food from 4 different food trucks, to include cold beverages provided by Barnstable Brewing Company, with Second Summer Cycle cans as memorabilia!
Nineteen Cape Cod non-profit organizations will benefit from the monies generated by the riders, each of whom is asked to raise at least $250 for their non-profit of choice, or to be disseminated across all 19 charities, in addition to the registration fee.
Ample hydration and nutrition stops will be strategically positioned along the course, along with medical and physical therapy stations equipped with tents and tables to ensure participants' comfort and well-being.

Hosted by: Second Summer Cycle, LLC, a 501c3, non-profit organization.
Beneficiaries: All money raised by the riders will be paid directly to the beneficiaries. Riders are expected to raise at least $250.00 each, and each beneficiary team is expected to raise $5,000.00.
Pricing:
- Century (100 miles): $125.00
- Metric Century Plus (69 miles): $95.00
- 33 Mile Ride: $80.00
Return to the starts: Bus transportation will be provided back to the starts along with trucks for your bikes. If you wish, you may have someone meet you at the finish line, where they may purchase a $30 packet of food truck vouchers to be used at Motta Field. Bus transportation back to the starts costs $20.00 per person, which includes both bus and bike transportation. The bikes will be in a separate vehicle.
Safety: We will have marshals at every turn to help guide riders, and motorcyclists will be patrolling the entire course.
Support services: Bike shops will be represented along the course to help with any technical issues. There will also be SAG vehicles to help riders who need support or a pickup along the course.
