Dear Family and Friends,
It's that time of year for the annual 2nd Summer Cycle fundraising event for Cotuit Center for the Arts! And I'm pedaling this year - no broken leg excuse like last year! ?? I will be riding 33 miles, from Orleans to Provincetown and today I’m asking for your support by donating any amount meaningful to you.
Most of you know how important the Center is to me and my belief in our mission. The arts are essential, and that’s the foundation upon which Cotuit Center for the Arts exists. The Center’s impact on our community is undeniable, offering the highest quality inclusive experiences through our award-winning gallery, eclectic concerts, sold-out theater productions, and robust classes. The arts enrich our lives in profound ways, and Cotuit Center for the Arts is at the heart of that enrichment.
Our 17-person team, led by our Executive Director David Kuehn, has an incredible opportunity this year. One of the Center’s generous donors has issued a $25,000 matching challenge. That means every dollar we raise is automatically doubled! If you contribute $100 in support of my ride, the Center will receive $200, $10 becomes $20, $50 becomes $100. This is a powerful way to maximize your impact and ensure that Cotuit Center for the Arts continues to thrive.
Your support means the world to me, and more importantly, it means a bright future for the arts in our community. And for those of you who don’t live on Cape Cod, please consider this. Your donation might be the one that helps fund the Art bus being at a public school this fall introducing a child to the arts for the very first time. In fact, we know it may be their only exposure to what we all feel is an essential need as a human.
Please be as generous as you can. Every donation, no matter the size, is meaningful.
Thank you for supporting me and Cotuit Center for the Arts!
Best always,
Kathie

The arts are essential. This is the premise upon which Cotuit Center for the Arts exists. Research bears out the undeniably powerful effect of color and sound, stories and learning, on the human brain and heart. We offer the highest quality of these in our award-winning gallery and eclectic concerts, our sold-out dramatic and musical theater productions and robust classes. We must sustain CcftA now. And for days and years to come.
Incorporated as a non-profit charitable organization in 1995, Cotuit Center for the Arts is an established, award-winning, dynamic arts and cultural hub serving Cape Cod, Southeastern Massachusetts, and beyond, hosting more than 40,000 visitors yearly for free and paid programming in our gallery, main theater, black box theater, and classrooms, and serving disabled teens and adults and incarcerated youth through our outreach programs.
Our offerings include art exhibits, live theater, concerts, classes and workshops, film screenings, and special events. We collaborate with local artists, musicians, actors, performers, teachers, volunteers, and the occasional celebrity to provide a rich experience to our audiences and attendees all year long.
Our goals at the Center are to educate, entertain, illuminate, inspire and include - five concepts that serve as the pillars of our philosophy. We strive to connect people of all ages and demographics to interesting and meaningful classes and workshops, to powerful and thoughtful live theater and music, to innovative and thought-provoking art exhibitions, and to an overall creative experience that enriches and transforms their lives.
Our calendar is jam-packed - an average week at the Center juggles approximately 130 hours of programming across ten schedulable locations on campus. Our ticket sales cover only half of our financial needs - we are supported by the contributions of our generous donors, sustained by a dedicated force of 600 active volunteers, grounded by the vision of a 16-member Board of Directors, and driven by the dedication and passion of 10 full-time and 6 part-time employees. We strive to be a welcoming hub at every level.
