Thanks for visiting my Hot Chocolate Run fundraising page! On December 7, Rachel, Gave and I will be participating in the 11th Annual Hot Chocolate Run. The picture on this page is of us running it together last year, we had so much fun!
Domestic violence is something that is usually kept in the shadows, hidden behind closed doors and kept as an unspoken shameful family secret. At this event, thousands of runners, walkers, spectators and supporters come together to stand up for an organization that works everyday to bring justice and support to survivors of domestic violence.
Please join us in bringing an end to the suffering and the violence by donating in support of Safe Passage, the organization addressing domestic violence in Hampshire County.

Every day, Safe Passage helps survivors of domestic violence take steps towards a brighter and safer future. Some of these steps are easier, and some are harder. Every step is important.
Before I walk or run, I’ve decided to Step Up for Safe Passage, and I’m asking you to join me. Please make a donation to support Safe Passage’s important work. Safe Passage relies on people like you and me to bring hope, safety, and justice to women and families.
Here are some ways Safe Passage will put your gift to work:
$30: Resources, support and hope for a woman calling the 24-hour hotline
$55: A survivor's first counseling session. For many of Safe Passage's clients, this is the first time they've felt heard. It's the first time in years that they've felt hopeful.
$120: A drop-in support group session for survivors of domestic violence
$225: Information, advice and support for a survivor facing a divorce or custody dispute
$500: Healing counseling for a child who has witnessed violence

Safe Passage is the organization in Hampshire County building safety, hope and justice for families who have lived with domestic violence. Adults and kids come to Safe Passage for a variety of programs: an emergency shelter, counseling and support groups, legal advocacy, and so much more.
