Dear friends and family,
Thank you so much for visiting my fundraising page! On December 7, I'll be joining Team FamilyFun Magazine in a 5K road race in Northampton, MA called the "Hot Chocolate Run." I've participated in this awesome event before, though this will be my first year fundraising for it. The run raises funds for Safe Passage, an organization dedicated to serving women and children who are survivors of domestic violence in Hampshire County. (Check out their website here: http://www.safepass.org/). It's truly a great cause. My goal is to raise $200 in the coming months, and I would so appreciate your support! Every little bit will help! Read on to learn more.
XOXO
Lucy
About Safe Passage
Every day, Safe Passage helps survivors of domestic violence take steps towards a brighter and safer future. Some of these steps are easier, and some are harder. Every step is important. Safe Passage relies on people like you and me to bring hope, safety, and justice to women and families. Please make a donation to support Safe Passage’s important work.
Here are some ways Safe Passage will put your gift to work:
$30: Resources, support and hope for a woman calling the 24-hour hotline
$55: A survivor's first counseling session. For many of Safe Passage's clients, this is the first time they've felt heard. It's the first time in years that they've felt hopeful.
$120: A drop-in support group session for survivors of domestic violence
$225: Information, advice and support for a survivor facing a divorce or custody dispute
$500: Healing counseling for a child who has witnessed violence
All contributions are tax-deductible, and you’ll receive an emailed receipt immediately after you donate. Thank you so much for your support!
