Why Bike for Duffy Health Center?
Duffy Health Center provides skilled and compassionate primary care, mental health care, and substance use disorder treatment to restore health and rebuild lives for a stronger Cape Cod. We envision a Cape Cod where all persons have access to quality healthcare, safe and stable housing, and lives filled with connection and purpose.
In addition to the daily care we provide patients in our Hyannis health center, Duffy operates a number of critical healthcare and support programs:
REACH Mobile Unit is a strategic priority for Duffy in providing outreach, harm reduction, and access to substance use disorder treatment to the most marginalized residents of Barnstable County. The REACH Mobile Unit brings these services to five Cape Cod towns weekly.
Moms Do Care is a program that supports pregnant and parenting women who are seeking recovery from a history of any substance use. Services are provided for moms by moms who have walked this path during their own pregnancy.
RecoveryBuild Alternative Peer Group for Teens (APG) is a 6-month outpatient treatment program for Cape Cod teens struggling with substance use challenges. The APG program is built to help teens achieve their goals and celebrate successes along the pathway of recovery.
In From the Streets is a community-wide program which offers temporary motel shelter and meals to homeless individuals during extreme weather temperatures or who are medically frail. Duffy’s integrated care model, skilled case managers, and timely response keep vulnerable people within the safety net of care.
Medical Respite provides short- and medium-term housing for homeless patients recently discharged from the hospital which includes housing, medical care, healthy food, and spiritual care, if desired. The respite program ensures that patients recover from their hospital stay in a safe environment with daily medical support, improving health outcomes and reducing the recurrence of a hospital stay.
Your support of Duffy Health Center directly and positively impacts the most vulnerable members of our community as we support them in reaching their goals, restoring their health, and rebuilding their lives.
Fundraising:
All money raised by the riders will be paid directly to the beneficiaries. The fundraising minimum for Second Summer Cycle will be $1,000, and riders will be responsible for the full amount through donations or their personal contribution.
