Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters,
This year, I'm embarking on a challenging journey – attempting the Grand Slam of Ultrarunning, four of the most demanding 100-mile races in the United States. While I'm excited for the physical and mental challenge, I'm also running for a cause that deeply resonates with me: Vermont Adaptive.
My mother has been confined to a wheelchair for over 30 years due to degenerative hip issues. Witnessing her struggles with accessibility – finding ramps, accessible restrooms, and feeling comfortable leaving the house – deeply impacted me. Everyone deserves to feel included and empowered, free from the burden of limitations.
Vermont Adaptive is a remarkable organization that empowers people of all disabilities through inclusive sports and recreation. They provide opportunities for individuals with disabilities to experience the joy and freedom of outdoor activities, building confidence, fostering friendships, and improving overall well-being.
As I push myself to the limits during these grueling races, I'll be thinking of those who face different kinds of challenges every day. I believe that everyone deserves the chance to participate in activities they love, regardless of their physical abilities.
I'm asking for your support in my fundraising efforts for Vermont Adaptive. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a significant difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities.
Please help me help others experience inclusivity and recreation no matter our struggles.
Thank you for your support and encouragement!
Sincerely,
