On June 15th, I will be pedaling my way through the pioneer valley to raise money for Bikes Fight Cancer. 100% of all rider raised funds will support valuable cancer care services to patients, families and caregivers as well as funding hospitals focused on advancing cancer research. I joined this event last year for the first time, rode the 50-mile route, and am planning to ride the same distance this year.
I will be participating this event in the memory of a dear friend, Irem Bolukbasi, who died five years ago from ovarian cancer. I picked this charity ride in Western Massachusetts, where our friendship grew and flourished while both of us were PhD students in UMass-Amherst.

Choose your ride with 25-mile and 50-mile routes traversing the picturesque Pioneer Valley and along the Connecticut River. The 50-mile ride promises an extra thrill with rewarding views for riders. After the ride, enjoy post-event activities like a kids trail ride, awesome food trucks, and, of course, enjoy Tree House's exceptional beer. This is an unmissable event!

Bikes Fight Cancer Inc. is a Western Massachusetts 501(c)(3) that uses its love of bikes to lessen the burden of a cancer diagnosis for patients, families, and caregivers.
