On June 15th, I will be pedaling my way through the pioneer valley to raise money for Bikes Fight Cancer. 100% of all rider raised funds will support valuable cancer care services to patients, families and caregivers as well as funding hospitals focused on advancing cancer research.
I'm riding in honor of my late mother in law Beth Hubbard, who was able to have a lot more loving, celebratory time with her family while also doing the things she loved to do thanks to her cutting edge treatment. I'm also riding for other people I know and love who are currently beating back the disease with the latest, most advanced treatments. One of those people is our friend and plumber (and everyone's friend) Frank Marchand. After his own cancer treatment, he decided that the snacks in the chemotherapy treatment room needed to be leveled up, so he started purchasing and delivering more options for the folks who were undergoing their infusions there. Bikes Fight Cancer caught wind of this and funded those efforts. This is just one example of how Bikes Fight Cancer does tangible good. They support organizations that offer valuable cancer care services to patients, families, and caregivers, as well as an enormous amount of funding for hospitals focused on advancing cancer research.
More about Frank can be seen here:

I'm also riding for you and for those you love. We all know someone. Cancer seems to find a way to scratch pain and sadness into all of our lives in some way. Bikes Fight Cancer is helping to ease, heal, and even prevent that pain and sadness. Please help me to help them.
If you would like to donate in their name, mention it in your donation and include any words you like, or contact me directly about it. I will carry their name and your words in my pocket on the ride, stopping to read them out loud on a lovely spot on the Connecticut River.
This is one small thing I can do in the face of an otherwise monstrous, overwhelming problem. I can't do much, but I can do this. Please help me to help! Click the user-friendly, giant blue donate button on my fundraising page! The money will be put to work. I've seen the effective results firsthand.
Please share my page!
And come do the ride with me!
Thanks so much for your support!
LOVE BIKES. HATE CANCER.
