On Behalf of the Cyclewerx Team Fundraising efforts, I hope you'll consider donating to the greater mission of the Team Noah Foundation, who are continually supporting families with loved ones battling with Continental Heart Disorders.
This is a "Last Man Standing" type of event, and so a fun way to supprt the cause through my efforts on the bike could be making a verbal / written commitment to donating $X per lap, not knowing exactly how many laps I'll get in on race day
Thanks for your consideration and hope to see you at the race, or your name on the list!
Don't hesitate to call me with any questions or other ideas you might have.
Thanks!
Last Miner Riding
The Team Noah Foundation Last Miner Riding is a bit of a different format of mountain biking format. At 9:00am (the top of the hour) everyone starts the 8 mile course (5 mile for Juniors at 9:15). Everyone is allotted 1:15 minutes to complete the first mountain bike loop. Thus, for example if you finish in 45 minutes you rest and recover until the the top of the next hour at 10:15 am and you start the 8 mile loop again. We will be taking 5 minutes off of each lap until we get to 45 minutes, where we will battle it out to the end. You must be at the start line at the start time for the next lap or you are out of the competition. This continues until the Last Miner Riding remains. It isn't about how fast you can ride each lap, it's about how many laps you want to ride. Just a fun day in the woods with a bunch of friends! We will have a top male and top female prize for the Open catagories and the Juniors, but that's about it.
The Team Noah Foundation was started in 2011 by Bettina and Dwayne Gosinski after losing their son to congenital heart defect (CHD). Our aim is to help families spend more time with their child, while also making ends meet at home. Our current president, Jennifer Hesselbach, is continuing the mission of the Gosinski Family. The Hesselbachs lost their son, Lucas, to a congenital heart defect in November 2018. By continuing the important work of The Team Noah Foundation, we have been able to help many families affected by CHD over the past 10 years.
