Lutheran Social Services mission is to stabilize people during crisis and transition, build a foundation where people can thrive, and preserve dignity and respect for the most vulnerable. Our Aging & Disability services help to prevent older adults and people with disabilities from experiencing isolation, loneliness, and health risks, so that they can live safely in their homes and within their communities. Through our Refugee Resettlement program, we we resettle the world’s most vulnerable neighbors fleeing war, violence, and persecution. Services include resettlement, immigration, employment assistance, K-12 refugee education services, youth mentorship, and women’s empowerment. Our Children & Family Services build strong families to help children grow in safe and loving families through a comprehensive range of services that include adoption, child and family workshops, community education, Family Resource Centers, and foster care. Our Emergency Services relieve hunger and homelessness for neighbors facing extreme poverty. This includes our Interfaith Homeless Emergency Lodging Program (I-HELP), food pantries, rent & utility assistance, SNAP assistance, health insurance outreach and enrollment, and disaster preparedness.
