Hello friends and family!
It's hard to believe it's almost 2023 and I'll be embarking on my fifth VT100 on foot this summer. I'm choosing to run again this year with, Team Run 2 Empower. *GIVING TUESDAY WILL BE 11.29.22, all donations on this day will DOUBLE!!** Team Run 2 Empower is a wonderful group of like minded folks who want to share their passion of the outdoors and endurance sports while spreading the awesomeness of what Vermont Adaptive stands for as well as raising money for their incredible programs. Together we can, and with your help, I'm hoping to raise $4,000 for Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports.
I'm so excited to be tackling the VT100 again this summer on foot, there's no where I'd rather be the third weekend in July, than Silver Hill with the other crazy runners, riders, crew and volunteers! This event is pure MAGIC for me and my family. We started coming to the VT100 in 2000. I've been blessed to have ridden and completed the VT100 eight times on horseback and have finished four times with my own two feet......remembering three of my favorite VT100 memories...first in 2004, when I was four months prego with Jase...while riding my most favorite horse ever, Song. Second, finishing my third VT100 with my son, Justin pacing me in the last 14 miles. Crossing the line with him was a beautiful moment. In 2022, it was a family affair again, with Guy and I running the enitre 100 miles together and the best part was having our boys, Justin and Jase crewing us and pacing us the last 30 miles! Such wondeful memories!!!!
Running has empowered me tremendously after my horse accident, giving me strength and courage to reinvent myself. Running soothes my soul, and I am forever grateful for what my body can do....so knowing this is one of Vermont Adaptive's biggest fundraising weekends, I'm excited to be raising money for them while fullfilling my running goals and dreams.....EVERYBODY deserves to enjoy the sports they love.
Please read a piece Guy wrote about how much the VT100 means to us.

Competing in the VT 100 is a challenge that I look forward to meeting this summer. I have spent hours, days, months and even years training for this event, it is something that I have been passionate about. However, there are people out there for whom just getting out to walk can be a challenge. People who need a little extra assistance to meet the challenge that brings health, fun and passion to their lives. Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports provides sports and recreational programs as well as wellness and environmental retreats to people with disabilities. Their programs are offered to people of all ages, with a variety of disabilities. Programs include skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing and Nordic in the winter; and sailing, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, cycling, rock climbing, horseback riding, and more in the warmer months. Vermont Adaptive offers financial support for anyone who needs it to participate.
Please consider donating what you can to help me reach my goal and help Vermont Adaptive meet their goal too!
Thank you!
