Hello friends and family! Thanks for taking the time to check out my fundraising page for Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports, as I set out to conquer the Vermont 100 mile Endurance Race in 2023!
Competing in the VT 100 is a challenge that I look forward to meeting this summer. I have spent hours, days, months and even years training for this event. It is an event and organization that I have been very passionate about.
What is Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports?
There are people out there for whom just getting out to walk can be a challenge. People who need a little extra assistance to meet the challenge that brings health, fun and passion to their lives. Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports provides sports and recreational programs as well as wellness and environmental retreats to people with disabilities.
Their programs are offered to people of all ages, with a variety of disabilities. Programs include skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing and Nordic in the winter; and sailing, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, cycling, rock climbing, horseback riding, and more in the warmer months.
They even have their Veteran Ventures Program - specifically designed for injured service members, veteran’s with disabilities, and their families.
Please consider donating what you can to help me reach my goal and help Vermont Adaptive meet their goal too! Thank you!
What is the Vermont 100 Endurance Race?
The VT100 is among the four oldest 100 mile races in the United States, and the only remaining 100-miler that includes a concurrent horse race. How cool is that? Athletes participating such as myself, have 30 hours to run the 100 mile race course.
I want you to be part of this amazing mission and journey with me, and hope it inspires others!
Why Vermont Adaptive?
The mission of Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports is so important to me because it helps others enjoy the same health, fun, and passions that have been such an integral part of my life.
I am honored to be part of Team Run 2 Empower in order to empower others thru my training and racing, including empowering and inspiring our donors thru my journey to the VT100!
