“Why dost thou smile so at me?” inquired Hester, troubled at the expression of his eyes. “Art thou like the Black Man that haunts the forest round about us? Hast thou enticed me into a bond that will prove the ruin of my soul?”

Hello friends.
If you live in Western Mass, you're probably already familiar with the Hot Chocolate Run- the annual 5K/Walk through Downtown Northampton. But you may not be familiar with Safe Passage, the amazing organization which it benefits. Safe Passage offers Hope, Opportunity, Justice, Safety, Empowerment, and Wellness to survivors of Domestic Violence..
On December 8, I'll be participating in the Hot Chocolate Run again. If you know me well, you already know that this annual event has been an important part of our holiday season. This year, I'm thrilled to be running with an amazing group of women who are my friends and colleagues and (s)heros. We are Stepping Up for Safe Passage by raising $1500 as a team to support their amazing work.
Our Team Name is the Scarlet Letters and I'm hoping that you'll support our team efforts by making a tax-deductible donation to Safe Passage.
Here are some ways Safe Passage will put your gift to work:
$25: Resources, support and hope for a woman calling the 24-hour hotline
$75: Safe transportation for a family traveling to Safe Passage’s emergency shelter
$100: A drop-in support group session for survivors of domestic violence
$140: Education for parents on talking with their kids about domestic violence
$500: Healing counseling for a child who has witnessed violence
All contributions are tax-deductible, and you’ll receive an emailed receipt immediately after you donate.
You can make a difference for families affected by domestic violence. I hope you’ll join me!
Thank you so much for your support! If you want to learn more about it, visit http://hotchocolaterun.com.
Many Thanks for a Happy and Healthy Holiday Season.
