Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for the 10th Annual Hot Chocolate Run to benefit Safe Passage. As you know, I'm not one to often ask you to sponsor or donate to my causes but this event is particularly special to me and I would like to invite you to join me in support.

Long before I ever dreamed I could or would ever participate in the race, I have loved the Hot Chocolate Run. It is truly my favorite day in Northampton. It’s the day when our whole community stops what it is doing and comes to gather together to do something healthy to keep people healthy and safe. 5,500 participants run or walk and thousands more cheer on the sidelines all in support of Safe Passage, a local organization that offers support, shelter, advocacy, counseling and community education around the issue of domestic violence. I will be running this year for the 3 year in a row.

This year, I am proud to run as a team member of the Scarlett Letters. What started as a monthly ladies night grown into a group of smart and fierce friends fabulous women who give me more support than I can express. We have decided to run the Hot Chocolate this year to lend our support to others in need. We have some of us who have NEVER run a road race before and some who will see this 5k as simple a warm up for their marathon training. And we will ALL cross that finish line!

If you are running or supporting the Hot Chocolate, you too can be a Scarlett Letter. In fact, you get to choose your own. I’m not sure what letter I’m going to claim yet… suggestions?!?

We have set our goal for the team at $1500 and I think we can blow that out of the water. I’m so confident that I am setting a personal goal of $500. I hope you consider donating.
