JULY 8th UPDATE:
Presently Charlie and I are fully committed to ride 80 miles. We are planning to leave West Hartford center at 6am sharp This is going to be a long hard day in the woods but it does not compare to struggle that people diagnosed with cancer have to face on a daily basis. All of the money raised directly supports the Helen and Harry Grey cancer center in Avon. If you are interested in joining or helping us please consider making a donation today! JUNE 5th UPDATE:
The #ERRACEMTB100 is going to happen! Tires will roll from West Hartford in the wee hours of the morning of July 16th for a fun filled day of some sweet single track. If you are interested in joing myself and Charlie Beal please consider making a donation to join the fun. I will make sure we have plenty of water and snacks for the ride. You can ride for just part or the entire thing. Remember that 100% of your contributions directly benefit the LiveStrong Foundation, and the Helen and Harry Gray Cancer Center. Save the e-mail conformation and let Uncle Sam pay you back!
So here is my challenge to you. For every $20.00 raised I will ride my mountain bike for a mile with the goal of riding 100 miles. This ride will be all in the woods! Piece of cake, right?! ERRACE—Everyone Ride/Run Against Cancer Everyday, is a one-day event will held at the Avon Cancer Center on Saturday, July 8, 2017and will include a 25, 50, or 100-mile bike ride, 15 mile mountain bike ride and a 5 run/walk. The beneficiaries are the Hartford Hospital Helen and Harry Gray Cancer Center of Avon, and the LiveStrong Foundation.
The ERRACE organization was created by a group of professionals with common goals. Together we strive to raise the awareness of cancer, raise funds for cancer research and to inspire the community to be active and health conscious.
We bring together our expertise from multiple aspects of business management, healthcare, community work, fund-raising and athletic endeavors. We are excited to share a fun, safe and inspiring event with the community for years to come.
